A Day Trip to Stan Hywet Hall

As the countdown to my departure for college continues, I have been putting a big emphasis on spending time with my family since I will be several hours away from them when I start school. My mom and I love going on little day trips with each other and we decided that we would finish up our summer of travel with one of our favorite places: Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. If you are ever visiting Ohio, I highly recommend stopping by; the grounds are absolutely stunning!

Here are our favorite locations:

Behind the Manor House

Magnificent architecture, thriving plants, and a blue sky – what more could you want?! Stan Hywet is like Ohio’s version of the Biltmore Estate.

The Gardens

The flowers seemed to go on for ages! There were countless different types of plants in the gardens – my favorites were the sunflowers 🙂

The Greenhouse

I seem to have visited a few too many greenhouses this summer; I somehow have ended up inside of too many to count! I’m not complaining though 😉 I live for the cactus displays!

The moral of this post is that wherever you go on the Stan Hywet property, you are sure to find something spectacular 🙂 (Visiting is also a sneaky reason to wear your favorite vintage Lilly!)
